Who Makes This Office Special?
Learn about the people who make our Hazard office so special:
Michelle Collins
Michelle Collins is a Social Security caseworker in our Hazard Office. She’s been with Morgan, Collins, Yeast & Salyer since May 2011. Michelle is a graduate of Perry County Central High School and Hazard Community College.
If you’re in need of Social Security Disability, workers’ comp benefits, or a personal injury settlement, call our Hazard office to talk to Michelle. She can help you start a file to set up your case, and she’ll keep you updated on the status of your case.
“I enjoy the opportunity to help people close to home,” Michelle says. “I also enjoy working with various caseworkers in order to make the best case for our clients.”
She’s also passionate about helping those who have worked in the coal industry. “Being a lifelong Kentucky resident, I’ve seen the importance of coal in our area,” she says. “Everyone in this area probably has a relative who has worked in the coal field. I’ve seen how hard those individuals work and find it fulfilling to help them receive the benefits they’ve worked for.”

Help with Car Accident Claims in Hazard
If you have been involved in a car accident in Hazard, our firm can help you pursue compensation from the responsible driver or drivers. We’ll use our experience and resources to thoroughly investigate your accident, finding all the evidence necessary to prove what happened in the accident, and how the other driver or drivers were responsible for the crash.
We will help you push back against the efforts of the insurance companies to offer you settlements for less than the full amount you deserve. If necessary, we are fully prepared to take your claim to trial. We won’t stop fighting for you until you receive complete compensation for all of your financial losses and other damages.
Help with Workers’ Compensation Claims in Hazard
If you have been injured in a workplace accident or have contracted an occupational disease while working in Hazard, our firm can pursue a workers’ compensation claim with your employer.
Our attorneys will help you fill out the forms you need to complete in order to apply for workers’ compensation benefits. We will also assist you in collecting the evidence needed to establish that your injury or disease is work-related.
If your employer and its workers’ compensation insurer deny or undervalue your claim, we’ll help you assert your appeal rights, advocating on your behalf to an administrative judge or, if necessary, the Workers’ Compensation Board.
Help with Social Security Disability Claims in Hazard
If you are disabled from work due to injuries or illness, you may be entitled to receive Social Security Disability benefits. SSD benefits are granted only under certain circumstances. Our firm can determine whether you may be eligible to receive them.
