Abous Tyler Wicker

My family came to Eastern Kentucky when the only way to get in was through the Cumberland Gap. They settled in what is now Knott County. Over the years my family gained a reputation of being scrappy and argumentative. I like to think I found my calling as a lawyer due in part to this heritage.

As a personal injury attorney, I focus on premises liability (slip and falls), medical malpractice, and automobile crashes. Because of my defense background, my clients get the benefit of an attorney who has been on both sides of the courtroom and has a good understanding of what a plaintiff faces. It helps me view a case from more than one perspective and anticipate how the defense may respond to a given situation.

I work out of the Paintsville and Hazard offices of Morgan, Collins, Yeast & Salyer. The law firm’s nickname is Kentucky Courage™. That is what many ordinary Kentuckians display every day when facing difficult situations.

I like to represent the people in my community and help them rebuild their lives after serious injuries caused by the carelessness and negligence of others. I’m proud to be able to use my legal skills to stand up and fight for them in their hardest of times. I have a dedicated cell phone for my clients to use to reach me whenever they need me, day or night.

When I’m not at the office or working at home, I enjoy spending time with my family, as well as running, lifting weights, and dabbling in woodworking.

I’m honored to be a member of the Kentucky Justice Association, which was founded in 1954 and has grown into a statewide protective voice for Kentucky families seeking justice. I’m licensed to practice law in both Kentucky and West Virginia.
