About Dan

My goal at Morgan, Collins, Yeast & Salyer is to be a member of a team who represents clients zealously and obtains the best possible outcome for them. Essentially, I want to help you, especially those of you who, unfortunately, have suffered injuries and/or damages including, but not limited to, the following areas: work-related injuries and/or occupational diseases (Kentucky Workers’ Compensation claims and Federal Black Lung claims); injuries from accidents resulting from motor vehicle accidents, slip and falls, and premises liability; fighting insurance companies who wrongfully deny your insurance claims; and, other claims associated with civil and administrative law.

I am a Kentucky native. I was born in Martin, Kentucky and raised in Paintsville, Kentucky. I attended Paintsville schools and graduated in 1999.  I held the position of student body president and graduated with honors.  Proudly, I was a member of the Paintsville High School basketball team that won the state championship in 1996.

I have the honor and privilege of being a member of the Kentucky Colonels, a statewide award that I received for outstanding community service. I was nominated to be a Kentucky Colonel for outstanding community services, which included volunteering for community services and volunteering to coach youth sports – basketball, baseball and football – for 12 years.

After law school, I joined a law firm that practiced insurance defense. I worked with insurance companies to defend them against injured individuals.  After working 12 years as a defense attorney, I realized my true purpose is in helping people, not insurers.

I believe I can now use my experience defending workers’ compensation to better aid and represent our clients. I know the strategies and tactics insurance companies utilize because I defended them against Plaintiff claims. I know the questions they’ll ask, and I can help our clients be fully informed and prepared.

I know what it means to be on a winning team. At our law firm, we give every case a team effort in diligently representing our clients.

What does Kentucky Courage mean? It means we are driven to fight for the people and zealously represent our clients. We want our clients to know they have us on their side, and we have the courage to do everything we can to advocate their rights.  We help our clients feel strong, brave, and courageous through the litigation process because they have a dedicated team representing them.
